Coming from a real estate background, Houston was always intrigued by the new technology made available to the teams that she would work with and recognized how they would make her real estate business better through implementation. Though the technology was available, other more seasoned real estate professionals wanted to take advantage of them but simply did not have the time. Soon, she transitioned from only using the technology in her own work and occasionally teaching her colleagues, eventually launching AOA as a means to help not only real estate professionals looking to uplevel their reputation and processes but also small business owners and solopreneurs.
